Bamberg Leisure Activities

As the hospitality of the Franconians is unique and people love coming together and celebrate, nearly every weekend, for example, a street festival takes place somewhere in Bamberg. Moreover, there are about 300 pubs to choose from and enjoy the local beer, the Rauchbier.

In addition to the leisure activities presented in this section, there are of course many other possibilities to spend your time in Bamberg.

The area around Bamberg is the Steigerwald. A large extent of the Steigerwald is a nature park with forrests. The best option to explore the Steigerwald is by car or motorbike. But if you don't have this possibility, it is a good idea to hire a bicycle and make a tour by bike. At the tourist office in Geyerswörtstrasse 3, they offer a variety of good bicycle path maps not only for Bamberg but also for its surroundings.
