In Bamberg, there is a huge variety of theaters. On this page, however, we will only mention the theaters that are large and also present plays in English or operas, operettas, ballets and musicals.
E.T.A.-Hoffmann Theater
This largest and most important theater in Bamberg was named after the famous writer and composer ETA Hoffmann who worked there from 1808 to 1813. They present plays, musicals and organize festivals.
The stage of the Brentano theater is only 2 m². Therefore, it might be the smallest theater in Germany and worth a visit although the plays are unfortunately presented in German.
